The Wallflower collective is an independent e-zine/e-newspaper that aims to create a safe and reliable source of GenZ content and news. As Staff Writer, your goal for the Wallflower is to produce thoroughly researched and well-written articles that our readers can rely on. At the Collective, we are hoping to inspire a new generation of journalists who will practice better and ethical journalism.

ROLE
+ Pitch and write at least 1-3 articles each month
+ Must be creative, resourceful, and up-to-date with the news
+ Communicate with Managing Editor and Editor-in-Chief
+ Highly organized and is able to meet deadlines
+ Professional; familiar with working in a fast-paced newsroom environment/independent publications
+ Strong research and interviewing skills
+ Strong written skills and grammar
+ Familiarity with Google Suite, Slack, and Trello

*No experience is necessarily required - this is a great opportunity for writers who are just starting out and looking for experience or to build their portfolios!
