Feedback for Virginia Return to School Work Group
On May 18, 2020, Governor Ralph Northam established a work group for the process of returning to schools.  This work group was established to ensure that all voices were heard, all stakeholders engaged, and that recommendations would be made with a goal of equity and safety for students and teachers.  This work group is made up of 49 people, including several college presidents, representatives from groups dedicated to equity, school superintendents, and school board members.  Also on the work group are three teachers, including David Walrod, a Lake Braddock Secondary School teacher.  The purpose of this form is to collect feedback from stakeholders to bring back to the work group.  Thank you for any feedback you might have!

This form was created by Dave Walrod, and will be used by him to provide feedback to the other members of the Virginia work group.

How have you been impacted by schools/universities going to distance learning? What did you find to be challenging, and what strategies should the state consider to improve distance learning?
As the new academic year begins, there is a possibility that restrictions will be in place, such as limited class sizes and staggered scheduling. What challenges do you anticipate? What strategies should the state keep in mind as it works with local divisions and universities?
Is there any other feedback you would like brought to the work group?
