All-Oregon Journalism Application
Applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. currently serving in a leadership capacity on a publication staff
2. achieve a non-weighted 3.0 GPA
3. show an involvement in state journalism professional development activities by having attended at least one outside of school event (Fall Media Day, Portland Media Day, JEA/NSPA National Convention, Next Generation Storytelling Camp, other summer journalism camp, etc).
4. demonstrate outstanding achievement in one of the following: leadership, photography, writing, design, storytelling, multimedia broadcast, technology as evidenced by a work sample or portfolio along with a with a reflection.

Journalism Professional Development event attendance. *
Give the date and name of the event(s) you attended and explain how that event helped you develop as a journalist.
List the publications you have worked on, the years/semesters you served on a publications staff, and your position on staff for those years (staff member, photographer, section editor, etc.). Include any leadership positions you've held. *
Be sure to include the name of the Publication Staff and the type of publication it is (newspaper, broadcast, yearbook, etc).
Detail why you believe you are an acceptable candidate detailing achievements and evidence that a variety of skills have been mastered. *
Include a link to a work sample or portfolio that evidences your excellence in journalism. (If you applied for the Oregon Journalist of the Year, your JOY portfolio would be appropriate here) *
