Desde maio, um grupo de migrantes e refugiados oriundo de várias partes do mundo tem-se vindo a reunir no Largo Residências para falar na linguagem comum das artes e do artesanato. Nestes encontros, foram aprendendo vários métodos artísticos e feitas várias experiências de gravura, desenho, ilustração, encadernação e serigrafia que resultaram em bonitos objectos que têm passado por feiras e festivais.

Independentemente da nacionalidade ou experiência artística, só precisas de ter espírito criativo para te juntar ao Art & Craft Refúgio e explorar a linguagem artística coletiva na companhia e mentoria dos os artistas em residência.

Since May, a group of migrants and refugees from various parts of the world have been meeting in Largo Residências to talk in the common language of arts and crafts. In these meetings, they have learned various artistic methods and experimented with engraving, drawing, illustration, bookbinding and serigraphy, which have resulted in beautiful objects that have passed through fairs and festivals.

Regardless of nationality or artistic experience, you only need to have a creative spirit to join Art & Craft Refúgio and explore the collective artistic language in the company and mentorship of the artists in residence.

The Residências Refúgio project aims to support the inclusion and improvement of the living conditions of people in a refugee situation, through mediation, cultural activities, access to housing, documentary and reflective processes. With Largo Residências as its promoter, the Aga Khan Foundation Portugal and Fórum Refúgio Portugal as partners, it was born in 2020 with the support of Lisbon City Council's BIP/ZIP programme, and from 2022 it received funding from the PARTIS & Art for Change programme of the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation and "la Caixa" Foundation, and from 2023 from the Portuguese Republic - Culture / Directorate-General for the Arts.

O projecto Residências Refúgio tem como objectivo apoiar a inclusão e melhoria de condições de vida das pessoas em situação de refúgio, através da mediação, actividades culturais, acesso à habitação, processos documentais e reflexivos.Tendo o Largo Residências como promotor, Fundação Aga Khan Portugal e Fórum Refúgio Portugal como parceiros, o projecto nasceu em 2020 com o apoio do programa BIP/ZIP da Câmara Municipal de Lisboa, e conta, a partir de 2022, com o financiamento do programa PARTIS & Art for Change da Fundação Calouste Gulbenkian e Fundação "la Caixa", e, a partir de 2023, da República Portuguesa – Cultura / Direção-Geral das Artes.
