Rehearsal Calendar *

I understand that Ridge Dance Team meets every Tuesday (except school closings) from 2:30-4:00 from September 10, 2019 - May 19, 2020. My child will also be available for rehearsals on Fridays from 4:00-6:00 from September 6, 2019 - December 13, 2020. Exact dates for Friday rehearsals will be announced over the summer, but my child will be available for all potential Friday rehearsals.

Ridge Dance Team Retreat *

My child will attend the Ridge Dance Team retreat on September 13th from 6:30-9:30. Further details to follow.

Attendance Policy *

I understand that my child is expected to attend all Tuesday after school rehearsals. My child is allowed two Tuesday absences for the Fall semester (September 10th - January 7th) and two Tuesday absences for the Spring semester (January 21st - May 19th). If my child misses more than two Tuesday rehearsals during the Fall semester he/she will not be permitted to perform in the Winter Dance Showcase 2020. If my child misses more than two rehearsals during the Spring semester he/she will not be permitted to perform in the Spring Dance Showcase 2020. (Important: Please note that any and all absences count as an absence with the exception of being absent from school due to illness or family emergency. Additionally, leaving early from a rehearsal will be considered an absence.) All Friday rehearsals are MANDATORY as our guest choreographers will be teaching the dances on Fridays.

Dress Rehearsal Dates and Attendance *

I understand that my child is expected to attend the MANDATORY dress rehearsals on the following dates: Winter Dance Showcase 2020 (January 10th from 6:15-7:00, January 13th from 3:30-4:00, January 14th from 3:30-4:00, January 15th from 3:30-8:00, January 16th 2:30-5:00). Spring Dance Showcase 2020 (May 8th from 6:00-6:30, May 12th from 2:30-8:00, May 13th from 2:30-8:00). I have carefully checked the dress rehearsal dates for any conflicts. If my child does not attend a dress rehearsal in part or whole, he or she will not be able to participate in the subsequent dance showcase. The only excused absences from a dress rehearsal are school absences due to illness and family emergencies. Missing rehearsal due to another dance class or rehearsal is not an excused absence.

Performance Dates and Attendance *

I understand that my child is expected to attend the performances on the following dates: January 17, 2020 and May 14, 2020 (4:30 call time and 7:00 show). I have carefully checked the performance dates for any conflicts.

Community Performances and Attendance *

I understand that my child is expected to perform at events throughout the school and community including but not limited to pep rallies, flash mobs, faculty meetings, etc. Details of performances will be announced as soon as they become available.

Competition Dates and Attendance *

I understand that my child is required to attend all competitions and I verify that my child has no conflicts for the entire competition weekend. Competition # 1 in East Brunswick, NJ (March 6 - 8, 2020)....Competition # 2 in Chester, NJ (March 20-22, 2020)...Competition # 3 in Somerset, NJ (March 27-29, 2020). I have carefully checked the competition dates for any conflicts. If my child is unable to participate in a competition for a reason other than illness or family emergency, he/she will not be allowed to participate in the subsequent competition or school performance, whichever comes next. (Competition schedule is subject to change.)

NJHS Dance Fest Date and Attendance *

I understand that my child is required to attend the New Jersey High School Dance Festival on March 14, 2020. I verify that my child has no conflicts for the festival and I have carefully checked the calendar for any conflicts. (Festival date subject to change.)

Fundraising *

I understand that my child is expected to participate in the fundraising efforts including but not limited to the Ridge Dance Team car wash (September 21st from 9-1), Charleston Wrapping Paper, Stella and Dot sale, bake sales, etc. Details of the per dancer fundraising objective and how this can be accomplished will be announced upon acceptance to Ridge Dance Team.

Uniform *

I understand that my child will need to purchase the Ridge Dance Team uniform from SneakersPlus. Uniform information will be sent out via email over the summer. The uniform includes Converse High Top Sneakers, performance pants, a skin-tone camisole, a Ridge Dance Team tank top or t-shirt and Ridge Dance leggings.
