Mutual Aid Mourning and Healing Support Signup for Volunteer Clergy
Dear Clergy,
In the time of growing pandemic, there are increasing numbers of people grieving the loss of a loved one/s who cannot afford pastoral counseling and/or funeral services. As a group of Chicago-based organizers, we're compiling a national database of clergy who are willing/able to offer their pro bono services rapidly growing numbers of people who will need this critical support. We're specifically asking for clergy who can provide one on one counseling and/or officiate at funeral services using Zoom conferencing.
If you would like to be on our clergy list, please fill out the form below. Filling out this form is not a hard and fast commitment. If you are on our list, you will be contacted if/when your help is needed - all we ask is that you reply promptly when contacted to let us know if you are available. We will be offering orientations for clergy members who are unfamiliar with Zoom, which will include pointers on how best to use it for these purposes.
IMPORTANT: The services by the clergy on this list will be opening and affirming to LGBTQI people.
Thank you in advance for considering our request.
In Solidarity,
Kelly Hayes, Tanuja Jagernauth, Heather Lynn, Nina D'Angier, Ashon Crawley and Rabbi Brant Rosen.
