As a community, we understand all the members of our community are of value and bring skills to the table. We hope to provide the resources and assistance as effectively and efficiently as possible and only do this with your input.

WHO WE ARE: Thank you for your interest in Project Pasadena! We are a local support network seeking to connect people in need with volunteers and provide up-to-date resources on COVID-19 via our Resource Forum. We welcome responses to this form for people who need help and people interested in volunteering. We need to collect some information about what you need, and/or help you can offer to provide the most effective and responsive assistance possible.

WHAT WE ARE DOING: We are matching people in need with neighbors able to help. We offer support getting folks groceries, medicine, and supplies. We are volunteer-run, we are not funded, and our aid comes directly from the community. ProjectPasadena.com maintains the ResourceForum.org, a crowdsourced database of community resources, information, and assistance available. The Resource Forum contains information relating to issues around COVID-19, ranging from food, mental health, safety procedures, and more.

WHO WE ARE PRIORITIZING: We prioritize those most vulnerable and affected by COVID-19: the sick, elderly, disabled, undocumented, single parents, and/or people of color, those quarantined, those limited in work, and those living alone.

HOW THIS WORKS: When a request for aid is made, we go into our network of community members who have volunteered and find a volunteer that meets the requester's needs and is available. Once we match the person who made the request with the person who can provide support, we put everyone in touch then the two parties figure out the details together from there.

OUR AID LIMITATIONS: We are neighbors helping neighbors. The aid provided comes from community support and solidarity. We cannot guarantee to meet each request, but we will try our best to do so. We are not funded, and we are not a government or medical agency. We are simply people connecting our neighbors who need help with our neighbors who can help.

OUR MODEL: A big thank you goes out to the Seattle Area Mutual Aid Solidarity Network and Philly Mutual Aid. Their guidelines helped us get started, and we are modeled after.  We have made specific changes to better suit the needs of our local community.
