Post-1945 Ballot (2021)
Thank you for voting to elect the next co-chairs of the Post-1945 Music Analysis Interest Group. When we wrote our bylaws in 2020, we decided that the group will continue to be run by two co-chairs who serve simultaneously.

Here are the two candidates' statements of interest:

William Ayers: I'm interested in running for co-chair of the Post-1945 Music Analysis Interest Group to continue the work I've done with the group over the past couple years, including working on the program committee for the "Mediating the Cold War" joint AMS/SMT paper session in 2020, reading for the IG award committee in 2021, and chairing the proposed special session on "Reframing Post-Tonal Pedagogy" for 2022. My hope is to work with other interest groups to find opportunities for collaboration on future special sessions and workshops at the SMT annual meeting and other venues.

Elizabeth Hambleton: I believe the Post-1945 interest group is doing some of the best work within SMT to bring modern music and analytical approaches into the spotlight. It would be my great pleasure and honor to continue the group's mission, especially in collaboration with other interest groups that examine modern musical styles, especially musical notation and other popular forms of electronic music.

You may also write in a nomination for a candidate who is not on the ballot using the "other" line.
