RUSA: Executive Elections and Class Representative Hiring
This is a self-nomination form for the RUSA Executive elections and Class Representative Hiring of Spring 2022 for seats in the 2022-2023 school year.

This form will close on March 15th. Nominated candidates will receive an email with an elections package outlining rules. Campaigning will occur from March 16-24, and the voting period is March 25-30. Candidates will be expected to create a platform to share with the voting body.

Roles and Descriptions
President: The president runs meetings and helps out with the roles of other positions. The president will attend the Study of Religion Department meetings once a month, working closely with the Undergraduate Assistant, Associate Chair, Chair, and other DSR staff and faculty. They are also responsible for organizing which executives attend ASSU general meetings. The president is a primary point of contact for the organization within undergraduate community and department faculty. They oversee activities in all aspects for the course union. The President leads recurring union initiatives, like hiring executive, and presides over all general meetings.The president is also the liaison between the undergraduate community and the department: they collect undergraduate opinions and report them to faculty members. With this comes responsibilities like advocating for the department at Fall Campus Day, Program Exploration Day, and more. They are also the initial point of contact for other campus groups.

Vice President Internal: The vice president internal helps the president with their duties and manages paperwork, which includes taking notes and recording meeting minutes. They will also handle CCR validation alongside the Undergraduate Assistant. The vice president internal looks to promote RUSA and find new members. The VP Internal should keep track of all the events in a calendar to share with the team. The VP Internal should organize the executive initiatives and confirm that all of RUSA's events are in accordance with the ASSU constitution.

Vice President External: The vice president external looks for and contacts other groups that host events that RUSA is interested in. This includes the organization of the Undergraduate Conference in the spring. If the President is unable, the VP External will preside over meetings. VP External is often the first point of contact for the class representatives and organizes their initiatives.

Vice President Communications: The VP Communications spearheads student communications to generate interest and engagement with RUSA and the Department at large. The vice president communications is responsible for social media outreach on various platforms. They will also assist in writing regular monthly listserv updates for the general student body. They clean up and organize the constitution, as well as communicate its contents with the general student body.

Vice President Finance: The vice president finance will handle the accounts and budget of the club as according to ASSU's funds. They will also make the budget clear, accessible, and viewable by all members. This individual is responsible for purchasing the raffle gift cards and managing reimbursement. They keep inventory of receipts for the initial and final budgeting meetings, and they oversee the RUSA bank account.

All executive members are expected to serve on a departmental committee, as the need arises, as well as rotate on attending monthly ASSU meetings.
