2024 IWCA Board Nomination Form
The IWCA Board is currently seeking nominations for the following Officer, At-Large, and Constituency Representative positions on the Board:

VICE PRESIDENT:
Duties:
--Acts as IWCA’s Professional Development Officer, including serving as liaison to the Mentor Matching Committee and helping to plan the IWCA Summer Institute.
--In the temporary absence of the President, presides over regular board and member meetings.
--Assumes the duties of the President when both the President and Past-President are unable to serve, in accordance with bylaws VIII.1.B.
--Ensures that a representative from the Secondary Schools Writing Centers Association will represent IWCA and SSWCA at NCTE. Works with the SSWCA representative to propose, organize, and implement the IWCA guaranteed session at NCTE and Special Interest Groups (SIGs).
--Unless otherwise assigned by the President, chairs the Conferences and Institutes Committee, including mentoring the upcoming conference chair and serving as liaison for all contractual agreements with conference venues, keynote speakers, etc. Is authorized to sign contracts pertaining to conference planning
--Regularly attends online IWCA Board meetings, executive committee meetings, and is expected to attend the Collaborative @ CCCC and the IWCA Conference.
--Assumes the office of President at the end of a two-year term. 

Three (3) AT-LARGE REPRESENTATIVES:
Duties:
--Represent broad constituency interests in setting policies and procedures for the general operation of the organization.
--Lead committees and fulfills their charges as directed by the President.
--Vote on Board motions.
--Regularly attend IWCA-sponsored meetings and events, attending at least two meetings per year or relinquish the position. 

CONSTITUENCY REPRESENTATIVES
--Two (2) Peer Tutor Representatives
--One (1) Graduate Student Representative
Duties:
--In addition to fulfilling the duties of At-Large Representatives, Constituency Representatives will communicate constituency initiatives and activities to the IWCA and vice versa.
--Unless otherwise directed by the President, representatives will also chair a subcommittee devoted to the constituent group.

Candidates must be IWCA members in good standing. Self-nominations for any of the above positions are encouraged. Nominations are due by June 1, 2024.

(Candidate statements will be solicited from nominees after the nominations are collected following the June 1 deadline.)
