The PDS Competition Program works to foster a positive and respectful environment for students, parents, and coaches. As a parent/guardian, I understand I am instrumental in the social development of my dancer and my only job is to support and lift up my dancer and their teammates. If a parent participates in any of the behaviors below, a meeting may be called between the parent, coach, and PDS Management to determine further action, which could include removal from the program.

1. Inappropriate discussions between parents, coaches, and/or dancers, including negative discussions of other dancers in the program, decisions made by the coach, team drama, etc.

2. Consistent and unconstructive negativity expressed to coach, dancer(s), or other parents.

3. Giving unsolicited and inappropriate critiques to any dancer on the team about their performances at games, halftimes, competitions etc.

4. Instigating conflict between coaches and other parents, coaches and dancer(s), dancer(s) and other parents, and/or dancer(s) and other dancer(s)

5. Inputting personal opinions on studio policies, schedules, competition plans & all other studio specific choices

When concerns or conflicts arise, as a parent of the PDS Competition Program, I must abide by the guidelines set forth. I must contact the studio management and not other parents/coaches/staff/dancers. I recognize failure to do so may affect my dancer’s participation in this program.
