RSVP May 5, 12 PM: Race, Religion, and Asian American Studies 
We are delighted to invite you to our panel event, "Race, Religion, and Asian American Studies." Our distinguished panelists will be discussing their latest works and sharing their insights on writing, scholarly contribution, and scholar-activism. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A session, allowing attendees to engage directly with the panelists. 

We will be meeting at A3C Couch Room (Old Union Clubhouse, 2nd Floor) on Friday, May 5th, 2023 at 12 pm. Lunch will be provided. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Kathryn Gin Lum (kgin@stanford.edu). 

Panelists:
Melissa Borja is a core faculty member in the Asian/Pacific Islander American Studies Program at the University of Michigan. She is the author of Follow the New Way: American Refugee Resettlement Policy and Hmong Religious Change (Harvard University Press, 2023).

Kathryn Gin Lum is Associate Professor of Religious Studies in collaboration with the Center for Comparative Studies in Race and Ethnicity and History (by courtesy) at Stanford. She is the author of Heathen: Religion and Race in American History (Harvard University Press, 2022).

Jonathan Tran is Associate Professor of Philosophical Theology and George W. Baines Chair of Religion at Baylor University. He is the author, most recently, of Asian Americans and the Spirit of Racial Capitalism (Oxford University Press, 2021).
