Introduction
There could not have been a more exciting time for the field of veterinary medicine. The veterinary profession has grown and advanced by leaps and bounds in the last decade. We now have a much better understanding of disease and disease processes and are able to apply this to further improve our veterinary industry. As our knowledge and expertise in various aspects of animal health and production has expanded, so has our contribution to the global community as a whole. Veterinarians are now more than ever involved in various key positions in society and play a critical role in One Health, a collaborative and interdisciplinary approach involved veterinarian, human health and environmental experts to solve emerging global problems. Indeed, we are the providers of advanced animal health care with state-of-the-art diagnostics and are also heavily involved in groundbreaking research that has put veterinarians on the map.
This seminar aims to introduce veterinarians, scientists and members of the health profession to the ‘New Way Forward in Veterinary Medicine’ that highlights our latest contributions to animal health and production. The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine takes great pleasure in organizing this seminar and cordially invites you to the 43rd Recent Advances in Animal Health and Production.
