Safe Zone Facilitator Training
The Mosaic Center for Diversity seeks to train Safe Zone facilitators to enhance our IDE efforts. Safe Zone seeks to improve visibility and support for students, faculty, staff, and visitors of Shenandoah University who identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer/Questioning, and any other sexual or gender identity. Retaining these students, faculty, and staff through visible support is vital. This goal is accomplished through increasing the number of allies on campus who attend trainings and workshops focused on support for this community. Resources will be made available to individuals that are trained as Safe Zone facilitators. For more information, please contact Malik Henry at mosaiccenter@su.edu.
