General Rules

1. Poems can be in any style but must follow the given theme(s): escape, wish fulfillment, and abandon. Poets may choose one or all of the themes.
2. Each poet must perform work that they have created.
3. No props or costumes. This does not include items that may be present at the reading that are also available to other performers (i.e. microphone stands, chairs on the stage, table tops, etc.)
4. No musical instruments or pre-recorded music.
5. Readings should not last longer than 5 minutes for one poem or 10 minutes for two.
6. Each poet may perform up to two original poems.
7. Poems should be PG-13 (parents strongly cautioned as some material may be
inappropriate for children under 13).

Registering

1. Registration forms must be turned in before April 1, 2022. Only 20 slots available*.

*Slots may be available the day of the event. Please, bring this form to sign up at the door.
