Student Support Services (SSS) at Southeastern Louisiana University is funded through the U.S. Department of Education. SSS operates under federal regulations and guidelines to serve first-generation, low-income, and students with disabilities. The goal of the program is to provide effective services that promote academic success and graduation. Students who qualify and are selected to participate in SSS tutoring services must agree to all of the following conditions.

By checking the boxes next to each statement, I acknowledge, understand, and agree to comply with the following SSS Tutoring Terms of Agreement. *

I will have an introductory meeting upon my first session with my tutor in order to discuss what I should expect from tutoring session and what the tutor expects of me.

I will do my best to attend all scheduled tutoring sessions with my assigned tutor. I understand that excessive absences will result in termination of my scheduled tutoring sessions.

If I must miss my tutoring session or am running late, I will contact the tutor coordinator or my tutor to inform them of my absences or tardiness.

I will complete my tutor's log form at the end of each session. I understand that it is my responsibility and not my tutor's to make sure the log form is complete.

I understand that at some times I may have to share my tutoring time with other students and that my tutor may be working with up to three students at a time, but no more.

I will come to my tutoring sessions with questions, concerns, or topics to work on with my tutor in order to have full, productive tutoring sessions.

I understand that it is my responsibility to attend class and come to tutoring sessions prepared with class materials such as notes, books, and assignments. If I do not have necessary materials for a productive session, I understand that my tutor may choose to work on concepts from past tests or papers, or they may choose to not work with me during that session.

I understand that it is my own responsibility to complete my assignments. I understand that the tutors cannot help students with quizzes and tests and are not allowed to edit papers or complete homework problems or questions for students.

I am willing to report all quiz, exam, and assignment grades to my tutor to record them on the appropriate forms.

I will notify the Tutor Coordinator and my SSS Counselor if I am considering dropping any course or withdrawing from the University.

At the end of the semester, I will complete a tutor evaluation.

If I experience problems with my tutor, or progress of my tutoring, I will report the problem to the Tutor Coordinator.
