Hello Readers!

LGBTQ+ Book Club begins today (Thursday 7th October, 4-5PM) as a social. I encourage all those interested to bring a book you've enjoyed recently (or just come to listen) and have a big book chat. Moving forward we will all vote on a choice of text (which might not always be a full-length book) to go away and mull over before reconvening. Ahead of that conversation, you can check out the shortlist below.

For the first month or two, we will choose from the shortlist below, but from next month we will open up the vote to texts general members might want to read. We do not plan to limit ourselves to works of fiction - play scripts, poetry, academic texts, essays, autobiographies etc. Are all welcome.

Most texts will be available to view/ read online, but in the case that we cannot find an open access version, we will provide links in advance to purchase the book cheaply. Once registered as a society, the budget will be prioritised for providing these to those that might not be able to purchase themselves.
