Repair Cafe Sign-Up Sheet
You are invited to join Green Venture's Repair Cafe this Monday, July 17, 2023. The cafe is a spot where Hamilton community members can bring in damaged items and have them repaired by menders in their city for FREE! The goal of this event is to show Hamiltonians that we can cut down on our waste through item repairing, not replacing.

This event will take place on July 17, 2023 at the EcoHouse (22 Veevers Drive) from 4pm-7pm.

When are you available On July 17th? Please select ALL times you are available for repairs. We will use your selection to pick a timeslot for you, which will then be emailed to you.

What repair(s) are you looking for? Please select ALL you are interested in bringing items for. If any materials are needed for the repair, you may be asked to bring them with you or compensate the mender.

Item(s) description and damage. If you are submitting multiple items, please list them in order of HIGHEST priority. We need to know the EXACT kind of item you're bringing in, and a FULL DESCRIPTION of the known damage. If inadequate information is provided we may email you requesting more, and even ask for a photograph of the item damage.

Your spot is NOT guaranteed, but we will do our best to accommodate as many people as possible. You must wait to receive a confirmation email from Green Venture with your time slot and mender's name. There may be extra time during the event for people who did not receive a time slot to drop in to have repairs done. This is not guaranteed.

Please wipe off any surface debris and/or liquids prior to bringing in your item. If your item is fabric or leather, please ensure it is clean beforehand. Stains which could not be removed are okay.

If your item is a piece of furniture, a tool, an electronic, or other hard object, consider wiping it down with a rag if needed. Do not worry about rust - menders will handle this as able.

Menders reserve the right to refuse repair if the item brought in is severely unclean or if they consider it unsafe.

You may choose to browse the EcoHouse grounds while your repair is being completed, but we will not have a secure place to store items once repairs are completed. While we will do our best to care for your item and keep it safe, we will not be held responsible for lost or damaged items. You MUST collect your item by the end of the cafe.
