Schedule a Class

This form will not immediately schedule a class. It will be seen by the Events Manager and they will use it to schedule classes.

Instructor responsibility:

1. Classroom (Clean or Shop classroom): Have you checked Classroom availability? If Clean classroom or Shop classroom are needed please book them before you proceed with this form. It is the instructor's responsibility to book their classroom.

2. Tools: If you are working with specific tools, please clear it with the Area Captain. Again, this is the instructor's responsibility.

3. Classes in the clean room: Please be advised that there are Board meetings scheduled, Friday Tours and Friday orientations and other meetings that regularly occur in the Clean room. If you can only teach in the Clean room, then you will need to clear it with the Board and Area Captains for Crafts and Electronics. Clean room cannot be 'blocked off' for classes as it is the only room with Air conditioning and heat, access to the food prep room, access to Electronics etc. Do consider using the Clean / Shop classrooms for limited disturbance.

For Class Description include all the details listed below. Classes without full descriptions cannot be listed. The description is entirely the instructors responsibility.

Description: a short description of the class and any information needed by the students
Date and time of the class
Cost and refund policy (do not skip this detail. Total cost of class/student needs to be listed. There is no need to split it into cost+material in this section; please do so when asked in an another section. DO NOT use $25 or $50 - pick any amount outside of those numbers since it helps the treasurer). If refunds are provided please list the date up to which people can cancel their registration.
Safety: Any apparel, safety equipment or items to bring
Age group: If it's adults only or what age groups are allowed
Minimum and maximum students in the class
Tool area being used. (Please be advised that certain areas cannot be booked, for eg. the clean room, as it has access to multiple other areas of the shop, food prep room, studios, 3D room, electronics etc. as well as being the only place that is air-conditioned for those hot summer days). 1. Please make triple sure the dates are correct and you will not be cancelling or rescheduling them unless a crisis takes place. I'm rolling this out on a temporary basis to see if this helps the instructors who have regular classes.

2. Please submit a new form if the class timings are different. I'd like to not cause errors while listing them.

Getting Paid! Fill out the "Teacher Payment Request" form.

After your class or series is finished, please fill out the following form to request payment. This will notify the treasurer and they should send you payment (via PayPal) within a week. If you do not receive payment in this time, please contact the treasurer (treasurer@thebodgery.org) or Events Manager to follow up. And thank you so much for teaching for the Bodgery!
