The Light Within for Women (Fall 2021)
This expression of interest is to attend The Light Within for Women retreat October 21-23, 2021 near Huntsville, Utah, hosted by the not-for-profit organization One Heart One Light. Since this retreat is the first of its kind, attendance will be by invitation only and 18-24 women will be selected to attend this first retreat. All future The Light Within for Women retreats will be open to the general public.

The Fall 2021 retreat will be staffed by men, with women participants. All future offerings of The Light Within for Women will be staffed by the women, including those invited to attend the Fall 2021 retreat.

This expression of interest to attend the Fall 2021 retreat has an additional component for a few women who are interested in being a part of One Heart One Light’s leadership by either:
- Being a part of the Women’s Senior Leadership Team that creates the upcoming women's program after the Fall 2021 retreat (4-6 women), or
- Joining the board of directors (appx 3 women).

HOW TO REGISTER
Please complete and submit this expression of interest. Our intention is to make all selection decisions by the end of July.

If selected to attend, you will be asked to make a deposit of at least $100. The full registration fee of $429 (less the $100 deposit) is due by September 16, 2021, unless prior arrangements have been made.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Past attendees who have experienced transformation from the retreat have created a scholarship fund to support attendees with financial need. A limited number of partial scholarships are available on a first-come need basis. Or, you may establish a payment plan to pay the full registration fee over an extended period of time.

PREPARING FOR THE RETREAT
After you register, and a few weeks before the event, we will send you an email with detailed information about the specific location, making travel arrangements, what to bring, how to prepare yourself, etc. The email will also include some forms to complete prior to attending.

TRAVEL INFORMATION
- The closest major airport to the event is the Salt Lake City International Airport (SLC), which is approximately one hour from the site. Please be aware of traffic.
- The retreat starts at 4 pm on Thursday and ends about 5 pm on Saturday. For this retreat only, a 2-3 hour planning session may be added to the end of the retreat with dinner provided.
- It is your responsibility to arrive at the site on time. However, we will try to arrange carpools or shared car rentals with other participants from the airport to the site and back, when feasible. There will be more information about that a few weeks prior to the retreat.

TERMS OF ATTENDING THE RETREAT
The Fall 2021 retreat is being offered to begin a women's program in One Heart One Light. By attending this retreat you commit, at a minimum, to the following:
- After the retreat, provide detailed verbal and/or written feedback about your retreat experience.
- Recruit women to participate in future retreats within your existing network.
- Staff the next 1-2 retreats as a volunteer. Note: these dates are not yet determined, and we understand that some may have reasonable conflicts with the selected dates and not be able to staff. We will work to accommodate conflicts as needed.

I am interested in joining the Women's Senior Leadership Team in One Heart One Light. *
Description: Using feedback provided, this team will be responsible for creating the version of The Light Within for Women that will be led by women and offered to the general public. They will be the senior staff at the next The Light Within for Women retreats. This is a significant commitment that involves a weekly team meeting (appx 1 hour), assignments between meetings, supporting other women in the team in their personal lives so that the team operates effectively, and providing leadership and instruction to the women in One Heart One Light so the organization can grow. In essence, this team is responsible for starting a women's organization, and developing the programming for that organization. Some of the desired skills for this position include a background in the mental health profession, healing modalities training, coaching, teaching, curriculum development, community building, writing, public speaking, or strong scriptural awareness. Some of the desired attributes for the position include being self-motivated, committed, connected to God, organized, strongly rooted in your femininity, teachable, able to hold space for others, and advanced in your personal growth/healing. 4-6 women total will be initially selected for this role. As the women's program grows, more women will be added to the senior leadership team. Note: we are specifically seeking at least one woman who will join both this team and the board (next question).

Description: The board is responsible for the administrative oversight of One Heart One Light. It is a mixed-gender team that oversees the organization's day-to-day operations. This is a significant commitment that involves a weekly team meeting (appx 1 hour), assignments between meetings, and supporting other board members in their personal growth so the team can operate in harmony. The board's primary responsibilities are to grow and expand operations in a sustainable manner. We are seeking to fill approximately 3 board positions through this process. Some of the desired attributes for the position include being self-motivated, committed, connected to God, organized, teachable, and most importantly, excited about One Heart One Light's vision.
