Lovecraftesque companion writers!
Lovecraftesque is the critically acclaimed, award-winning GMless storytelling game of creeping cosmic horror. It aims to recreate the style and feel of a Lovecraft horror story, while introducing completely fresh horrors and actively working to push back against the inherent bigotry in Lovecraft's mythos. We are currently planning a second edition of the game, to be accompanied by a Companion full of supporting material.

You can find out more about Lovecraftesque here:

We are hoping to hire a geographically and socially diverse set of writers to create awesome material for a new Lovecraftesque Companion supplement. We hope to include scenarios and campaigns, essays and tools for play. We intend that the companion will be written with Lovecraftesque in mind, but potentially with support for other cosmic horror games. We have not yet set pay rates but have previously paid our writers at least $0.10 per word. If this sounds like something you might be interested in, let us know below.

We want to hire writers of all experience levels from diverse backgrounds. We're particularly keen to get writers from around the world. We want a wide range of perspectives on what horror can be, building on the work we did in the first edition of Lovecraftesque.

The purpose of the Lovecraftesque Companion is to provide support materials for the game, and to extend what people think is possible in relation to cosmic horror roleplaying.

This could include:
- Scenarios and campaigns with an unusual premise, setting, situation, and/or protagonist
- Essays about cosmic horror (for example our first edition looked at how to handle race and mental health in cosmic horror games)
- Tools for use with a cosmic horror game
- Optional rules for Lovecraftesque

What sort of things would you be interested in writing?
We are also considering including conversions of Lovecraftesque scenarios to other cosmic horror games and/or rules for converting them. Are you interested in this - and what games could you do this for?
If you have a specific idea/ideas you'd like to pitch, please tell us more here!
