Stormwater infrastructure is typically very old, difficult, and costly to replace. Many towns in North Carolina have implemented "Stormwater Utility Fees" to enable them to build and repair infrastructure to handle harsher rain storms in recent years. Typically these fees are a few dollars a month added to the existing water bill. What would be your response to your municipality putting this system in place?

Do you have any suggestions on event or groups that may be interested in participating in water quality outreach activities?
We are looking for streams that are safely accessible for volunteers and are in need of clean up (litter and trash, blockages - not stream restoration at this time). Do you have any recommendations?
