Instructions To The Candidate
The candidate finding himself/herself in a hazardous area shall demonstrate the correct procedure for identifying a safe haven with 100% accuracy.

6 Steps
*
1) Wears full PPE
2) Initiates mayday (per AHJ) and activates PASS device
3) If trapped in a hazardous environment looks for a room and attempts to locate a door and window.
4) Closes the door for protection/isolation.
5) Opens or breaks the window to provide fresh air and a possible escape route.
6) Signals for assistance. (ie. Hollering, flashing lights, waving arms)
