Are you passionate about Canadian art, art education and working with the public? Don’t miss this opportunity! Art Windsor-Essex is looking for enthusiastic and engaged volunteers to get involved in a wide variety of roles, such as:
Gallery Guide:Lead exhibition tours with general audiences, school groups, participants of March Break and Summer Camps, community groups and private events for all ages.
Deliver curriculum-linked guided tours with school groups from grades K to 12.
Deliver customized exhibition tours of private events and group tours.
Studio Instructor:Lead hands-on art activities and workshops for programs such as Saturdays in the Studio, special events, and community celebrations.
Deliver curriculum-linked studio activities with school groups from grades K to 12.
Deliver customized hands-on activities for private parties and group bookings.
Special events volunteer:Assist with wayfinding and guest engagement at special events such as receptions, AWE at Night, Art in the Park, the Downtown Windsor Farmer's Market, and more.
Engage with community members on behalf of AWE and its initiatives.
Create conversations with guests, both onsite and offsite.
Mentorship volunteer:
Assist with activity planning and coordination for the AWE Teen Arts Council.
Co-facilitate Council meetings with AWE staff.
Encourage Council members and connecting them to involvement opportunities in the community.
Administrative volunteer:
Assist AWE staff as needed with administrative tasks, such as: envelope stuffing, filing, and other organizational tasks as needed.
Fundraising volunteer:
Assist AWE staff with fundraising strategy and with the planning, organization, and execution of fundraisers.
