MicroCT Scheduling Form

The USU MicroCT Facility provides x-ray micro-computed tomography services for the university community and others. A Nikon XT H 225 ST MRA Dual Target microCT scanner and two reconstruction workstations outfitted with Volume Graphics Studio software permit nondestructive high-resolution imaging of the surface and interior structure of 3D objects, as well as advanced visualization and quantitative analysis of structure.

***Following your submission of the MicroCT Initial Request form, you should use this form for scheduling time on the machine. Please refer to the USU MicroCT Reservations calendar to view available dates/times, and complete the following form to schedule use of the USU MicroCT facility. Clear selection
Please select the instrumentation you will need. Note that the scanner generates a stack of 2D X-ray radiographs that must then be reconstructed into 3D volumes for further analysis. Scans are sent from the microCT acquisition workstation to Recon 1 for reconstruction.

-If you are only interested in generating 2D digital radiographs OR you plan to acquire scans for reconstruction at a later date, select "microCT only".
-If you plan to both scan your specimen/sample and reconstruct it following scan acquisition, select "microCT + Recon 2"
-If you are not scanning but would like to use the Volume Graphics Studio software for data analysis, select "Recon PC only". You will be assigned to one of the two Recon workstations depending on availability

Estimated time per scan (if known)  *
Please indicate as fully as possible your weekly availability for use of the microCT facility (e.g., "Tuesday 10am-1pm; Wednesday 9am-3pm", etc.). If you would like to be booked on multiple days for a given week, or across a few weeks, please note that with your availability. If you indicate 24/7 availability, this will indicate that you literally desire to be booked as often as is possible, and you will be booked for all available duration(s).
