Aloha!

This form is to help us get a rough estimate of how many people are interested in participating in this year’s Lu'aū. Please look at the list of positions and committees that are needed for this years Lu'au and sign up for one. The positions needed are Videographer (1), Photographer (1), MC (2-3), Light Technician (1), and Sound Technician (1). The committees needed are for the Silent Auction Committee, Hospitality Committee, and Decoration Committee. The roles of each position are listed down below.

Videographer (1):
- Must have experience working with camera, filming/editing
- Will need to film certain practices, dress rehearsals, and Lu'au needed to create a video to promote the event
- NEED TO SHOW PREVIOUS WORK TO LUAU COORDINATORS (Please email work to one of the Luau Coordinators)

Photographer (1):
- Must have experience working with camera, taking photos/editing
- Will need to take photos during some practices, dress rehearsals, and Lu'au
- NEED TO SHOW PREVIOUS WORK TO LUAU COORDINATORS (Please email work to one of the Luau Coordinators)

MC (2 or 3):
- Recommended for anyone who isn't dancing
- Has confidence when speaking publicly/is more extroverted
- Is able to keep the audience engaged during the event
- Is able to pronounce Hawaiian words fluently

Light Technician (1):
-  Assist UO Engineering Technicians with anything they might need help with
- Is responsible for turning on/off the roof lights of McArthur court

Sound Technician (1):
- Assist UO Engineering Technicians with anything they might need help with
- Is responsible for playing the songs for each dance

Silent Auction Committee:
- Assist the needs of the silent auction coordinator
-Manage set up and clean up of auction area on the day of Luau
-Walk around during luau and answer any questions people have
-Help with collection of payment + distribution of items after luau (luau coordinators will help)

Hospitality Committee:
- Assist the needs of the hospitality coordinator
- Duties includes greeting guests, passing out programs, giving directions for food service and monitoring the line, check and empty any full garbage cans, help the caterer with food service if necessary,
- Be available to Lu’au guests to answer general questions

Decoration Committee:
- Assist the needs of the decoration coordinator
- Need to set up/clean up decorations (includes centerpieces, stage decor, etc.)

Please note: The numbers listed next to each position is the number of volunteers needed. These are recommended for individuals not participating in a dance but arrangements will be made if dancers are interested in a position or committee. The last week to sign up for dances is Friday of Week 4 in Winter Term 2022! The individual appointed for each position will be announced Week 6!
