Nominees may be a family, couple or an individual who has made a significant impact or contribution in Ritzville. Nominations may be submitted by youth (16yrs or older), individuals, businesses, agencies, civic organizations, etc. from Ritzville.

The following is the selection criteria for a person (s) to be Grand Marshal:

Nominees MUST meet one of these: born, raised or contributed their time, talents or gifts to the Community of Ritzville.

Nominations are to be made using this form, or can be emailed to ritzchamber@gmail.com.

Past or present community member who is serving or has served our country in the United States military, veterans organization, in a public service position.

The nominee MUST be in good standing in the community, & display outstanding pride in, service to & commitment to our community through volunteerism or community service work.

Activities should be above and beyond the nominee’s profession, paid work or normal call of duty.

Must be able and willing to carry out the Grand Marshal functions.

Nominee must be at least 18 years of age.

Areas of consideration include community service, personal accomplishment (such as athletics or the arts) or awards, length of time living in the community, personal deeds and dedication to the community. Lifetime achievements with a lasting community impact.

Members of the Chamber’s board of directors, along with their spouses and children, are not eligible to serve as Grand Marshal.

Previous Grand Marshals are ineligible. Persons previously nominated, but not selected, may be nominated again.

The Chamber Board reserves the right to select a Grand Marshal whose name was not submitted through the nomination process.

Nomination forms should detail the degree of impact of contributions made.

Nominations received after the August 20 deadline will not be considered.
