Stillmeadow Community Fellowship (
https://stillmeadow.community) is partnering with Libraries Without Borders US (
https://www.librarieswithoutborders.us) to provide 3rd - 12th grade students within our community with an after-school supplemental learning program, with a focus on helping students to improve in the areas of math, and english/language arts.
We will begin with serving a total of 15 students, who will be divided into three cohorts of 5 each: elementary (3rd - 5th grade), middle (6th - 8th grade), and high school (9th - 12th grade). The Stillmeadow PeacePark Learning Center will operate every Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday from 3pm - 6pm.
While in our care, students will be provided with a laptop with wi-fi connection, and guided through assignments within the Clever portal, with a structured theme for each day (ie. math Monday's, E/LA Tuesday's, and Flex Day Wednesday's where students choose what they'd like to work on), followed by an enrichment activity, and snacks will be provided daily.
Our desires are to be a source of character building, using nature as a means for experiential learning, as well as opening students to exploration through the arts. We are also looking to offer summer programming. We'll keep you all informed as details are worked out.
Your input is extremely valuable to ensure that this, and all future programs meet your and your students needs to the fullest potential.
