1. Go to the volunteer signup page here:
www.shfb.org/give-help/volunteer/individual-volunteering/ You will be signing up as an individual (as opposed to a group), and all events will be categorized as "events for individuals." You will most likely be volunteering with other volunteers from the Bay Area.
2. Choose from one of the two service options at the top: sort food in the Second Harvest warehouse, or distribute food to the community.
3. Search for upcoming events using the filters on the left to sort by your age range, dates, locations, job type, etc. You can also change the viewing format to map or calendar view.
4. Once you find a shift you're interested in, select it and click on "Sign Up," then fill out your information. If you want to volunteer with a friend, member, and/or an officer, let them know and you can sign up for the same shift. In accordance with ASB guidelines, we cannot officially go to in-person events together as a club or as representatives of MVHS, but we can go "as friends" who want to volunteer together. :)
5. Fill out this form for us to keep track of your service hours, as we cannot see what shifts you have signed up for through Second Harvest otherwise.
6. Mark your calendars, and don't forget to attend your shift! Be sure you have permission from a parent/guardian.
