There are many ways to engage with Sustainability at Kenan-Flagler Business School through the Ackerman Center for Excellence in Sustainability. We welcome your expertise on our Invest for the Future Leadership Council; we also need judges for competitions, speakers for classes and recruitment of talent. Please let us know how you would like to work with us!

List of Events/Programming:

Invest for the Future Leadership Council - This council helps guide ACES direction and programming.

Launching Investment for Future Transformation (LIFT) - The second annual LIFT challenge is for students around the globe to propose blended finance/impact investing solutions for issues related to the Sustainable Development Goals.

Careers with Impact Forum - Offers all students the opportunity to learn from incredible business leaders about the skills and perspectives they will need to launch an impact-driven career in business.

FoodCon - This events rotates through the area Universities: UNC, Duke and NC State and aims to increase the awareness and understanding of the sustainable food industry.

Invest for Impact Competition - Designed to give students exposure to the field of impact investing, this competition focuses on 3 key areas: assessing impact, financing impact, and measuring impact.

ClimateCAP - The global MBA summit on Climate, Capital and Business.

UNC CleanTech Summit - The event convenes more than 1,000 students, business professionals, international speakers, policy members, and academics for two days of engagement to foster leadership, share new ideas, and bring growth opportunities to the Southeast’s cleantech economy and highlight the advancement of clean technology across the globe.

UNC Sustainability Awards - Recognizes leadership and best practice for two winners: A North Carolina business that shows initiative, innovation and impact in sustainability, as well as a Kenan-Flagler Distinguished Alumnus in Sustainability.
