MMIWG Film Screening & Discussion Registration
Please join us in an important discussion on the MMIWG epidemic in Canada as we will be watching Finding Dawn, a documentary about the 500 Indigenous women who have gone missing or murdered in the past 30 years. The film will be followed by a short break and discussion questions. This section will be facilitated by Sarah Varze and Danielle Powder and will be an opportunity to share your thoughts, ideas, and reflections on the film.

Acclaimed Métis filmmaker Christine Welsh brings us a compelling documentary that puts a human face on a national tragedy – the epidemic of missing or murdered Indigenous women in Canada. The film takes a journey into the heart of Indigenous women's experience, from Vancouver's skid row, down the Highway of Tears in northern BC, and on to Saskatoon, where the murders and disappearances of these women remain unsolved.

There is a warning that the documentary will mention subjects around rape, murder, and violence.
