Community Stakeholder Survey for 21st CCLC Grant Proposal 2023
Dear Roland Community,

Roland Public Schools are in the process of developing a 21st CCLC grant proposal to create additional out-of-school-time programs for Roland Elementary and Roland Middle School. The program will be before-, after-, and summer school depending on the input that you provide on what you want to see in your community's school program and the OSDE requirements. As a condition for submitting a proposal, Roland Public Schools are requesting community input in the development of this proposal.

It is the intent of the 21st CCLC Program to provide opportunities for communities to establish or expand activities in community learning centers that:

  • increase academic enrichment, including providing tutorial services to help students, particularly students who attend low-performing schools, to meet the challenging State academic standards
  • offer students a broad array of additional services, programs, and activities, such as youth development activities, service learning, nutrition and health education, drug and violence prevention programs, counseling programs, arts, music, physical fitness and wellness programs, technology education programs, financial literacy programs, environmental literacy programs, mathematics, science, career and technical programs; and
  • offer families of students served by community learning centers opportunities for active and meaningful engagement in their children’s education, including opportunities for literacy and related educational development.

This survey has two parts. Part one is an opinion survey regarding the 21st CCLC programs, and Part 2 is an activity guide that deals with the types of programs you would like to see in operation at Roland Public Schools. We value the opinions and requests of all our stakeholders and encourage you to complete this survey to help us better meet the needs of our students, families, and community.
I would be willing to serve on a taskforce to help my school plan how to use the 21st CCLC funding at some point over a five year period of the grant.  *
If you answered "Yes" to the previous question, please provide your Name, Phone Number, and Email Address
Part 1 (Opinion Survey )
The questions below are used to collect data based on the preferences of our stakeholders. The feedback we collect from your answers will help determine how the 21st CCLC extended-care program will be structured, and what needs will be met.
I believe that having extra programs will benefit our school and community as a whole. *
I think someone in my family would use the programs.  *
I would like to see extra enrichment programs to extend the learning of students into the real world.  *
I would like to see the school become a center for community activities that promotes 21st CCLC life long learning goals.  *
I would like to see the school build a system to increase methods of gaining non-tax based resources for programming.  *
I would support the efforts of the school to increase the type and number of extra programs for our students.  *
I feel that having a safe place for our students to go before the start of the school day, after school, and summers where they can learn is important.  *
I see the need for the school to take the lead in developing these out-of-school-time programs so that the regular school day is linked to these after-school programs.  *
I would be willing to volunteer to help with aspects of the program. (Training would be provided) *
As a community member, what do you feel is the most important need for the students in this community? *
