Injury Prevention and Management

For grass roots to high performance coaches.  Limited spots for this in person opportunity!

Topics:

  1. Common injuries in the sport.
  2. What the research says about injury prevention.
  3. Setting up practices- considering warm up, loads, recovery.
  4. How strength and stability influence optimal movement patterns- watching your athletes move.
  5. Nutrition, hydration, and sleep. 

 

Facilitator: Rhonda Shishkin

 

Rhonda is a Sport Physiotherapist and Certified Athletic Therapist with over 25 years experience working with athletes. She is a High-Performance Practitioner with Sport Scientist Canada. She was Lead Therapist with the Senior Women’s National Basketball team at the Tokyo Olympics and spent 8 years with the national team program. She is currently in private practice with Craven SPORT services, after over 20 years as the Head Therapist at Huskie Athletics.
