2023 Center for Urban Language Teaching and Research (CULTR) Grant for First-Time Attendees for AATK Conference
AATK is pleased to announce a special conference grant sponsored by CULTR. This opportunity is for K-16 full time teachers in their first to fifth years of teaching who have not previously attended an AATK conference. This grant will provide $300 to help cover expenses for three recipients. After attending the conference and fulfillling  CULTR's requirements, the three recipients will each receive $300 to offset expenses of their choice.

The Center for Urban Language Teaching and Research (CULTR) works to enhance the global skills opportunities of urban and underrepresented learners and educators. CULTR is one of 16 National Foreign Language Resource Centers and is housed at Georgia State University.

Requirements and Rules:
  • Recipients must attend the annual AATK conference on June 15-17, 2023
  • Recipients must be full-time Korean language instructors (K-16).
  • Recipients must be attending the AATK conference for the first time and be within their first 5 years of teaching.
  • Recipients are responsible for all registration, lodging, travel arrangements, and expenses.
  • Recipients must complete a brief CULTR survey and submit a one minute video to CULTR about the impact of the conference. Instructions will be provided to recipients.
  • Payment will be issued upon completion of all requirements.
