Rowe School welcomes volunteers into our school community in a variety of roles to enhance our student experience and support our staff.  Please complete a separate form for EACH student in your family.  Registration is valid for the 2022-2023 school year.

* You will be contacted by the volunteer coordinator or your student's teacher directly about opportunities. 

* Volunteers are urged to read through district COVID protocols for the 2022-2023 school year found on our website.

Authorization for Criminal Record Check Request
In accordance with Yarmouth School Policy, in order to ensure the safety of Yarmouth students, we need to include the following questions:
Have you ever been charged with or investigated for sexual abuse or harassment of another person? *
Have you ever been convicted of a crime other than a minor traffic offense or entered a plea of guilty or "no contest" (nolo contendere), or has any court every deferred further proceedings without entering a finding of guilty and placed you on probation for any crime other than a minor traffic offense? *
If you answered yes to either of the previous questions, please explain in detail.  NOTE: Criminal charges, investigations, arrests or conviction of a crime are not necessarily bars to volunteer service.  
I understand a Volunteer at Yarmouth Schools is subject to a satisfactory criminal history and sex offender registry check. I understand also that the Maine State Police need to know the date of my birth in order to perform the criminal record check. Confidentiality Agreement Statement
It is the policy of the Yarmouth School Department to provide our employees and students with a level of privacy and confidentiality with any information concerning any of our employees or students.

In the course of your volunteerism, you may have access to confidential information (oral, written or computer generated, not otherwise available to the public at large) about employees or students, their families and/or personal business. School business information includes computer programs, software and supporting documentation, technological improvement plans, strategic plans, financial information and employee information (including but not limited to employees and their families).

No student or employee information is to be shared with others. If you have concerns about any information you have received about a student or employee, you should report it to the school principal only.
