I am an older Mom.

This is not a limitation but a plus. I am better prepared for motherhood. I am mentally, physically and emotionally prepared. I will seek help when I’m in need. I will reach out to my community when I need support. I will also support fellow older moms and treat them with respect.

 I respect that we are building a strong community of older moms so I shall not divulge any confidential information with outsiders. I will not mock, condemn or disdain any mom, older or younger, whether or not she is going about motherhood the way I would. I will empathize and assist them with love and care.

 I respect that every woman approaches motherhood in the way that soothes them. I understand that there is no perfect Mom; we are all ladies trying to do the best for our children and our families.

I will also push for better medical care for all mothers, especially older Moms. I believe and strive for striking a balance for better for all mothers in health care.

 I will not take for granted that I am older and will always work towards better health for my baby and I.
