IN ADDITON TO THIS APPLICATION, ALL STUDENTS MUST HAVE A COMPLETE SKYWARD ENROLLMENT APPLICATION AND SATISFY ENROLLMENT DOCUMENTATION REQUIREMENTS EACH SCHOOL YEAR.
REGULATIONS FOR TRANSFER
• Transfers are valid for the current term in which the transfer is approved. A new application must be
re-submitted on a yearly basis.
• The student shall be responsible for complying with the policies and rules set forth in the WISD
Student Code of Conduct and the school rules of the campus and shall be subject to disciplinary
consequences as established in the WISD student Code of Conduct.
• The District shall not provide transportation for a non-resident transfer student; transportation
must be provided by the parent/guardian.
• The transfer request applies only to the student named in the application and shall not be
considered grounds for transfer of other family members.
• In order to participate in UIL activities, the student must meet UIL eligibility requirements.
• The campus principal will review and interview each parent/guardian and student prior to being
accepted for transfer. The students must meet the following criteria to be considered for nonresident
transfer acceptance:
1. STATE ASSESSMENT
Minimum Standard - Pass ALL current assessments at Approaches Grade Level.
2. ACADEMIC PERFORMANCE
Minimum Standard - Passing ALL subjects in the current grading period, in
addition to the last grading period.
3. ATTENDANCE
Minimum Standard - 5 or less absences for current semester unless extenuating
circumstances.
4. DISCIPLINE
Minimum Standard- No major infraction for the current school year. No
habitual discipline issues for the current or previous school year.
NOTE: If any person knowingly provides false information to the Westwood ISD for the purpose of enrolling a
student in this district when that student is not eligible for enrollment, the person providing false information
could be liable to the district for tuition and immediately withdrawn. In addition, knowingly providing the district with false information is a Class A Misdemeanor (Texas Penal Code 37 .10)
