2023- 2024 Dual Language Immersion 1st grade waitlist at Hermosa Vista 
Dear Families,

Thank you for your interest in our Mesa Public Schools Dual Language Immersion Program.  Please complete this form to be added to the waitlist for 1st grade at Hermosa Vista.  Placement depends on availability and we will follow the acceptance and waitlist priority groups listed below.

1. Students living within the DLI school boundaries.
2. English language learners living within the DLI school boundaries (up to half the total number of
students per class).
3. Siblings of students currently in the DLI Program.
4. English language learners living outside the DLI school boundaries but within district boundaries (up
to half the total number of students per class).
5. Children of Mesa Public Schools employees.
6. Students living out of the DLI school boundaries but within district boundaries.
7. Students living outside of Mesa Public Schools boundary.

Students can enter the dual language program without proficiency in Spanish until the end of the 1st quarter in 1st grade (October 6, 2023)

If space permits, we will communicate to families and set up a Spanish screener to determine eligibility.
