Power of Partnership Stewardship Summit - Volunteer Application
Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the 2023 Power of Partnership Stewardship Summit taking place October 15-18, 2023 in Richmond, VA.

One of the most important aspects of ensuring our Summit runs smoothly are the volunteers. And that's where you come in! We are looking for volunteers to help facilitate the smooth transitions between each session and help manage all of our Summit attendees and exhibitors. Join our dynamic team and help bring the Summit's vision to life while networking, learning and engaging with global travel and tourism industry players.

Volunteer Positions:

Registration Support Team

This is a crucial role in the running of the conference as you are the very first people to greet and interact with the newly-arrived participants; you must be able to check in attendees, speakers, sponsors, and exhibitors, answer general questions, prepare registration badges when needed and direct participants with ease in a calm and professional manner. Bilingual is a plus.

Production Support Team
Provides general assistance to the production team, plus runs multiple production errands and tasks as needed. Set up and organizing Summit office, gift bag packing and organizing, breakfast and lunch logistics support, on-site and off-site receptions, volunteer day and tour excursions support, plus others.

Sessions Support Team
The primary responsibilities of a Sessions Support Team are to assist attendees as they join sessions, be of support to the Event Manager, AV crew, and session facilitator. Your support will ensure sessions run smoothly, starting and staying on time. If needed, you will help with switching out stage chairs, you will also help pass around mics during the session Q&A period, and other tasks as required.

Information/Concierge Booth Attendant
This opportunity is for individuals that love to network in tandem with possessing the ability to clearly communicate information and activities with attendees of various backgrounds and interests. Answers attendee questions and/or direct them with a level of enthusiasm, professionalism, and excellent customer service skills. You will also register attendees that arrive and check in on Saturday.

Social Media Support Team

Support our social media team in various roles like: content creation, posts amplification, events coverage etc.

Exhibitor Support Team
This team will provide logistics support for setting up exhibit booths and signage in the Multicultural Marketplace. Team members will assist exhibitors with questions and direct them to appropriate Exhibitor staff for furnishings, signage, A/V and electrical needs.

Eligibility Criteria:
A heartfelt desire to serve;
Ability to perform the assigned volunteer position;
Ability to work a minimum of 10 hours over the course of the event;
Ability to attend a mandatory virtual meetings and training (TBA);
Ability to attend set up on site (Saturday, October 14 & Sunday, October 15);
Ability to volunteer during the course of 3 days (Sunday, October 15 - Wednesday, October 18);
Ability to handle multiple tasks with eagerness and a positive attitude; and
A volunteers shirt will be provided.

*Volunteer credentials allows you to enjoy all of the event's programing and activities during open time while supporting the Power of Partnership Stewardship Summit team during assigned shifts. While on your assigned shifts, we expect full focus and commitment to the success of the event and given tasks. Volunteers and staff members are hosts and hostesses for the event and should exude a spirit of hospitality at all times.
