NEHA Community Ideas Hub
NEHA has many events planned for 2023 and we want to hear from you about what you want to see throughout the year! Please use this form to share your ideas for speakers, session topics, interactive and intergenerational programming, and anything else you'd like to see us offer at each, or any of the events listed below. Your ideas help shape our programming and events. Our goal is to ensure it all of our programs are meaningful and relevant to you. 

Many factors go into planning programs, including cost, speaker schedules, logistics with the venue, finding a balance with topics and content, and more. We do our best to incorporate your ideas into our programming. If you make a suggestion and we can't make it happen this year, please know that it will be recorded and considered for another year.

Couples Retreat
Audience: Adults with a bleeding disorder and their partners and/or couples who are caregivers. 
Description: This event helps couples connect for a fun, interactive weekend to help better navigate the stresses and burdens associated with bleeding disorders.

Winter Camp
Audience: All members of the New England Bleeding Disorders Community, including families and individuals
Description: Winter Camp features a weekend full of engaging, intergenerational outdoor programming that includes ice fishing, snow shoeing, sled dog rides and more!

BLeaders Teen Retreat
Audience: Teens ages 13-18 with a bleeding disorder or their sibling(s)
Description: This weekend-long retreat offers teens life skills development activities, opportunities to expand leadership skills, bleeding disorders education, and more!

Consumer Medical Symposium
Audience: All members of the New England Bleeding Disorders Community
Description: This event was created to help you better understand what current and potential medical advancements are available to treat bleeding disorders and what they may mean for you and your family. NEHA will provide educational programming for adults, teenagers (13-18 years old), youth (6–12 years old), and childcare (0–5 years old). 

Men's Retreat **New for 2023**
Audience: People who identify as a male (ages 18+) with a bleeding disorder and/or male caregivers
Description: The weekend features educational sessions, social activities, health and wellness workshops, breakout sessions, and much more!

von Willebrand Retreat
Audience: People living with von Willebrands and their families
Description: This annual event focuses solely on families living with von Willebrand Disease (vWD). Developed with community feedback, this retreat is led by professional facilitators and Hemophilia Treatment Center (HTC) partners. The retreat is intended to provide community members living with vWD a chance to learn, network, and ask questions in a focused setting.
Family Camp
Audience: Families, with priority given to those with a severe bleeding disorder
Description: Since 1992, NEHA has offered Family Camp to anyone with a bleeding disorder who receives care in one of the six New England states. Through Camp, we aim to accomplish two goals: increasing and enhancing self-infusion skills and building strong connections within our community.
Women's Retreat
Audience: People who identify as a women (ages 18+) with any type of a bleeding disorder, carriers, and caregivers living in New England
Description: The weekend features educational sessions, social activities, health and wellness workshops, breakout sessions, and much more!
Hispanic Heritage Month Event
Audience: Individuals and families living with a bleeding disorder
Description: La Asociación de Hemofilia de New England (NEHA) los invita a celebrar el mes de la Hispanidad con una conferencia dirigida a las familias latinas. Todas las sesiones serán en español.
FallFest
Audience: All members of the New England Bleeding Disorders Community
Description: Each Fall, the New England Hemophilia Association (NEHA) hosts our annual meeting, called FallFest. At FallFest, NEHA will provide a wide-range of educational programming for adults, teenagers (13-18 years old), youth (6–12 years old), and childcare (0–5 years old).
Holiday Party
Audience: All members of the New England Bleeding Disorders Community
Description: Families will enjoy a holiday themed lunch, a visit with Santa Claus, arts and crafts activities and much more. Children under the age of 10 will receive a special present from Santa!
