TTC Outdoor First Aid course

To support the club's Instructors and Trip Leaders, the TTC periodically runs an Outdoor First Aid course provided through Triple One Care (NZQA 6400/6401/6402 & 424).

This form helps us understand:
1) the number of active First Aid certifications that the club needs to maintain (via a 1 day refresher course), and
2) the demand for a full course (2 day) for first-time or expired certifications (we may need to seek additional funding)

This information will help us understand club requirements and prioritise places on the course (if necessary). The information that you provide will only be used for the purpose of organising and maintaining first aid certification for the TTC and will be retained until expressions of interest close for the next course to refresh certficiations (in approximately two years time).

Note:

The full 2-day Outdoor first aid course involves quite a bit of pre-course & self-directed learning. Participants will be sent a login to the Triple One Care Online Learning course (TOOL) which takes approx. 4 hours to complete and a manual assignment ‘Task 1’, which is part of NZQA unit standard 424 and can take a few hours to complete.

In applying for TTC funding for this course (i.e. submitting this form), you are committing to allocating the time required to obtain the certification.

Outdoor 1st Aid certification history

Let us know whether you need a 1-day refresher or a 2-day full course and, if you need a refresher, your certification history. If you are not sure, then let us know what information you do recall about past 1st Aid training received through the TTC.

Please note that Triple One Care require all refresher participants to provide a copy of their current certificate (or if TTC has your details we can provide your name and they will check their database for everyone who has done it with them in the past to make sure that certifications are current). If your certification has expired, you may need to attend the 2-day course.
