What exactly *is* a Buy-In Party?!
Buy-In parties (also known as slot parties or sign-up parties), are events hosted by MLC families, teachers, alums, or supporters. They're like electives for grownups, or for the whole family, or even just for kids but outside of school time! They can be a class, an outdoor activity, a shared meal, a wine tasting, a pickleball competition, a plain old PARTY, or whatever community-building event you can imagine! There are a predetermined number of available slots at a set price. Participants pay to attend and the money raised goes to the MLC PTSA so buy-in parties are a great way to grow community while raising money at our annual auction. If you have a skill to share, an awesome activity you can lead, a unique experience to undertake, or you just want to gather together and help create opportunities for connection, please consider donating your time and talent and signing up to host a buy-in party!
