Dr Rajeev Kumaramkandath got his PhD from Manipal University in the year 2013. He was a recipient of the Sephis scholarship from the University of Amsterdam, and the GEXcel residential fellowship from Orebro University, Sweden and funded by the Swedish Research Council. He was a residential fellow at the Indian Institute of Advanced Studies, Shimla before joining CHRIST in 2015. His recent publications include an edited volume titled "Histories of Desire: Sexualities and Culture in Modern India" from the Cambridge University Press and an article in the pioneering intellectual journal Seminar magazine titled "Death of Language in Neoliberal Times". He is currently selected for the prestigious Erasmus mobility programme to visit FHWS - University of Applied Social Sciences, Germany as a visiting scholar.
