Join us in a powerful act of remembrance and solidarity during the 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence to create a space dedicated to commemorating the victims of femicide globally, with a specific focus on Austria. In this unique workshop, we aim to remember the women who have tragically lost their lives due to femicide. Their stories will be brought to life by other women who refuse to reduce them to yet another femicide statistic. Instead, we'll create a space in memoriam for these women who were resilient, vibrant, caring, brave, and full of life. Our goal is to harness the power of art activism and together, craft feminine silhouettes, carefully cutting them out and painting them with vibrant, uplifting colours. Through this creative process, we will remember and celebrate the lives of those who fell victim to femicide. Let's come together, share stories, and create a space of empowerment and remembrance, fostering a community that stands against gender-based violence with love, compassion, and art. The workshop takes place on Wednesday, 6th of December 2023 starting at 17:30 (CET) at the Central European University (Quellenstraße 51, 1100 Vienna).
