Much has changed since IU's sudden move to online in March. At the time, many language instructors had little to no experience in online teaching. Now, most IU language teachers have spent half a Spring semester and an entire Summer semester teaching online. And those who did not teach online during the summer likely did research on teaching online. During this IU Language Community Micro-Teaching Mini-Conference, we are inviting our IU language teachers to share their knowledge and experience with their colleagues, demonstrating tips, tricks, concepts, tools, and/or methodologies that they have used and found successful in the online and/or socially distanced classroom.

We are currently accepting submissions for 10-minute micro-teaching presentations (7 minutes for teaching/demonstration and 3 minutes for Q&A). Limit of 3 proposals per person.

Submissions can include:
Methodology/Pedagogical strategies (Best practices for teaching online, synchronous and asynchronous activity ideas, etc.)
Demonstration of tools (a useful new program you have discovered, specific features of a program that you've used/found useful, etc.)
Student Engagement (cultural/extra curricular activities) and/or Classroom Management

Submissions should consist of a title and summary (no more than 100 words) of your presentation submitted by Monday, August 10, 2020 at 5 pm.
