Ready to Write | Screenwriting Workshops | Application Part I

The idea: You have a brilliant, can't miss idea for a movie. You can visualize it clearly. You can see the characters, the exciting scenes and the witty dialogue. You can even see people lining up to get their tickets on opening night. Now all you have to do is write the script.

If you've tried writing before you've come to realize what all writers inevitably do: Writing is hard! Getting from page 0 to page 110 of your movie can feel like an impossible task. And there is no workshop, class or program that is going to write the script for you. The script you want is always going to be just on the other side of a difficult process.

However-- with the techniques and discipline hacks of a professional writer you can change your perspective and simplify the writing process to its simplest form. Over 8 classes you will learn how to master the 1.5 page scene, break your feature film idea down into digestible/writable sequences, organize and notecard your idea and set aside time to write the brilliant movie idea you've always wanted to finish.

This is Part I of the Application. Please be prepared to upload a short video of yourself at an external link provided below.

· All those that apply to Part I will be notified of directions to complete Part II of the Application by Friday, July 22. Only applicants that complete Parts I + II of the application will be considered for this program.
