Emergency School Food Program
JWP Public Schools Nutrition Department will continue to provide meals to all children under the age of 18, free of charge during the school district closure due to COVID-19. It is an integral part of our mission to ensure that our students continue to have access to balanced meals in order to maintain their health and health of our entire community. As you can imagine, this will look quite different from the way we serve meals during the school year. We will operate a "drive-through" grab and go style meal service starting Tuesday, March 17th.

Meals will be preassembled and prepackaged into bags or covered containers. Breakfast and lunch will be served together. Enough meals will be given out for breakfast and lunch to hold the students over until the next distribution date.

In Janesville the pick up location will be out front of the JWP Schools main doors S1 from 5-6pm at the curb. In Waldorf, we will be in front of the Community Center from 5-5:30pm and in Pemberton we will be set up on the south side of the Community Center at 6-6:30pm. Signage will be posted, we will be serving next to the school bus. Our normal distribution of grab and go lunches will be Mondays and Thursdays.

If you have any dietary needs or food allergies, please contact Sara Meihak at smeihak@isd2835.org and we will do our best to accommodate. Just please be aware, that due to the nature of the meal service and product availability from our vendors, this may not always be possible.

Please fill out the questions below in order for us to have an idea of the amount of grab and go meals we will need.

Sincerely,

JWP/Taher Food Service Department
