Lancaster County Public Schools is in phase 1 of the strategic planning process. The Strategic Plan, when completed,  will be a six year plan that will provide a framework of goals and action steps for continuous improvement for LCPS. Phase 1 includes gathering input from parents, students, staff, local businesses and the community as a whole. As a COMMUNITY MEMBER, your input is crucial in determining the vision for LCPS that will be represented in the final LCPS Strategic Plan. Phase 2 will include analyzing many data sources to include student achievement, absenteeism, stakeholder engagement and much more. During phase 2 all input gathered in phase 1 will be reviewed as well. Phase 3 will include choosing 3 to 5 goals for LCPS to accomplish over the next 6 years and the final phase 4 will be developing action plans for each of the goals. We will align our school division plan with the Lancaster County goals addressed in the Lancaster 2035 Plan. We are one community and our school division serves an important role in the community. We strive to work as a TEAM so that we can best serve our students and prepare them for life after graduation. Please take some time to complete this community member survey so that your voice is heard in this process. There may be future surveys that get a bit deeper on specific subjects so that the vision is clear. Our community can serve as one big team and by working together we can do magnificent and amazing things for ALL of our kids and for our community. This is an exciting time to build on our strengths, to improve our weaknesses and to prepare our kids for their future in a way that we never have before as they enter this ever-changing world after high school graduation.
