Please join us for a presentation about the fascinating interconnections across Central Asia and Europe in the past, when Prof. Gasparini from the University of Oregon speaks on "Unraveling the Threads: Exploring the Significance of Asian Textiles in the Formation of Medieval Christianity."

We are honored to have her join us at PSU as our third Mary Ausplund Tooze Endowed Visiting Professor of Islamic & Ancient Art. Prof Chiaramaria Gasparini is an Assistant Professor at University of Oregeon whose research encompasses Chinese and Central Asian Art and Architecture, Asian Art, Silk Road Studies, Asian Textiles, Buddhist Art, Sino-Iranian and Turko-Mongol Interactions.
