ASHE 2023: Reviewer Mismatch/Conflict of Interest
Once reviews are assigned, we ask all reviewers to skim all proposals as soon as you receive them to:

1) Ensure that you have either the topical, methodological, or generalist expertise to be able to review each proposal you have been assigned. If you have expertise in the topic AND/OR the method, you are an appropriate reviewer for the proposal. If you feel that you are not qualified to serve as a Reviewer for a proposal, please complete this form by May 19th.

2) Ensure a conflict free review process. Having an impartial and unbiased ASHE proposal review process is critical to our Association and the advancement of higher education scholarship. If you have been assigned to review a proposal in which you recognize the submission (e.g., a co-worker, family member, student, etc.), please complete this form by May 19 at 4:00PM Central/Minneapolis Time.

Once you submit this form, the ASHE Staff will confer with the Section Chairs to re-assign the proposal. This may take up to 48 hours so the proposal will still appear in your Conference Portal until then.
